NVC request for DS3032 again?

My wife just received a NVC request for DS-3032 in physical mail. We are in EP and submitted a scan of her signed DS-3032 long time ago. We already have an interview date in 2 weeks where she will bring the original DS-3032. Do you know what is this about?

06/10/2011 - I-130 package sent USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation

06/14/2011 - NOA1

10/21/2011 - I-130 approved (NOA2)

11/19/2011 - NVC recevied case

11/21/2011 - Called NVC for AOS bill and DS-3032

11/21/2011 - Paid AOS Bill

11/21/2011 - EP request and DS-3032 to NVC

11/23/2011 - EP came and DS-3032 accepted

11/23/2011 - Submit I-864

11/28/2011 - Paid IV Bill

11/29/2011 - Submit DS-230

12/05/2011 - Case completed

12/08/2011 - Interview date set

12/11/2011 - Medical exam

01/11/2011 - Document intake day

01/12/2012 - Interview - Approved

03/09/2012 - POE - LAX

NVC probably sent that out while you were in NVC, but it probably took awhile to be received. Is there a date on the envelope showing when it was sent to prove this?

I would ignore this. Sending a DS-3032 to NVC might mess up your case as your case has already been completed and sent on to the consulate/embassy.

postal mail? it arrived via postal mail?

Disregard, in toto, as the purpose of the form, intake of the DS-230, has already been done.

Suggest your wife to frame it, as it's an actual document from the US Government, maybe even have a barcode on it.

Then, hang it in the wc. Give the guests something to talk about.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I tried to logon to the NVC payment site. It still works! Should it work?

I thought I should get Sign In Fail. What is going on?

Nothing to worry about there. In the past, a sign in fail was a precursor to a case complete; however, in recent months the payment portal can be accessed after a case complete.

My own take on the sign in fail was it did not mean anything more than what it was; it is the case complete that means everything.

In short:

SIF (sign in fail) means nothing; CC (case complete) means everything.

September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
