Why would someone from Ireland not use the Visa Waiver program to visit? There is no reason for the stupid hammer over the head symbol. That is just rude.

Because it takes over 6 months to get your Visa and you don't wish to be separated 3 months or more from the one you Love correct? I think that's a good enough Reason not to use the VWP and apply for 6 month tourism Visa.

this was intended for myself :bonk: more then you. for 2 reasons

1) We experienced this and my hope was to save someone else the headache. :thumbs:

2) I misspelled the V W P .....I used V M P in my original post :bonk:

I honestly don't think you will get a tourist visa while you are waiting for the CR1 visa. None of us wanted to be apart from our spouses that long. When I left my husband a few days after we wed it was the hardest thing I ever did and I creied all the way home. But he used VWP to come for visits including Christmas and would stay for a week and then go back to Scotland. I met him in London and we did the interview together and he arrived here Feb 8th which was 7 months to the day from our wedding. It was not easy but it was worth it. If you can manage to get the tourist visa that would be great but I would think that it would be denied.
