Hi all, wondering if any of you know the procedure(s) to try to find out reasons why the visa wasn't issued. Is there a way that I can get any notations/reports/etc. why my Moroccan fiance did not get his visa, and why we were never given any paper at the end of the interview? I will be going back to see him soon and we will be filing from scratch again. It would be nice to know why we were denied in the first place, so we can be better prepared our second attempt. Thanks for your input everyone! p.s. His interview was in July in Casa, and no paper was issued or given to him and he was not given visa. Last month I received a notice in the mail that our petition has now expired.

Freedom of Information Act is the only way to get that info. It takes a long time, and often, the consular officer's given reasons are ridiculous and unfounded. Work on building a stronger case with visits and continued correspondence. :)

There certain very common factors, do any of them apply to your case?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thank you ALL for your answers and suggestions. Very very helpful everyone. THANKS! I don't know if this next one we'll re-do the K1 Fiance visa (this is what we tried first - his interview was in July of this year - 2011), or if we might just go for the gusto and get married there! Exciting possibilities!!! We have a lot of red flags in our situation unfortunately, and Casa I'm sure looks at them all, shakes their head no, and denies before the interview has even begun. I will look about getting the report via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). I really appreciate everybody's input. Good luck to you all, and to me and Mohamed this time around :) Love will prevail, I'm certain of that!
