Hi-

I did search this site prior to submitting this post, but need a more current response than what I have found.

Can anyone recommend a Civil Surgeon in the Twin Cities area that can perform vaccination transciption to form I-693?

Many of the CS listed at VJ for Minnesota are NOT charging what has been listed (e.g. Oldenburg in St. Louis Park is now in Eden Prairie and wants $100 - same for Hussain in Champlin - $100).

I understand that this will not be cheap, but I have a wife and 2 step-children that will need this transcription service, and I think that $300 is a bit much for a few checkmarks and a signature on a form.

Can anyone provide a recent experience (with cost) for Minneapolis?

Thanks-

Karl

I can't. I CAN provide experience with may civil surgeons around the country and $100 each is CHEAP. Some in this area are way over $400 for the same service. The best ever was a CS in Texas that would do it through the mail for $25 each but he got shut down. Seems that was illegal. Dammit.

MANY CSs require a new medical exam, even though it is not "required" by immigration law. These are doctors in private practice authorized to fill out these forms and can charge whatever they want. They are parasites. Consider yourself lucky you found one for $100. Alla and I have been working on modifications to the immigration law with our Senator here to eliminate the need for CSs and allow any US doctor to sign off on the forms. So far it is an amendment waiting for a bill to attach to. :( Even at that, what do you pay for a brief office visit nowadays at your family doctor? $50? $75? So $100 is simply not out of line.

I also married a woman with two wonderful children who are a great bonus in my life, but get used to the idea of all fees x 3.
