So we 'officially' proposed two days ago, the ring is here and her father hasn't shot me (yet) and we're now building the K1 package, but I've got a few questions that we're confused about.

Skype History - We have more calls than chats but obviously want to include a good mix of both. Trouble is we have one great big chat history file from Skype, and while we're trying to get a few chats out of that should we just do one for each month since we have calls and calls and calls to show we were communicating a lot?

How do we show the dates of the Skype chats as they just seem to give the times online in the official Skype application?

Also on the forms there is a part about "is your fianceé / fiancé in the country already?" Which, I am on a visitors visa. I don't have a visa number other than the stamp on the passport, so should we just leave that since it's a non immigrant visitor visa?

We've done a fair whack of work already and the Skype history is the last major hurdle for everything bar one or two photographs. We're hoping to file in the next day or so while I'm still here

Thanks a million guys!

Congrats!

Did you enter the US on the VWP? If so, you can fill that in where it says "visa number" you can put "visa waiver program". But I assume you will be leaving to return to Wales so that doesn't really matter.

Sorry, can't help you with the skype logs but I can tell you to put your efforts towards primary evidence, not secondary like e-mails, skype, chats, etc. Focus on the time you've spent together, bording passes, passport stamps, etc.

Good luck

You don't need skype logs to file a K-1. The USCIS will only be concerned about meeting each other. Skype logs and everything else would be required for interview stage which is still a ways to go.

With the Skype it's like picking up and making a phone call. The time you spent on the call is good enuff when it comes from skype. What i like about skype is that you can get everything from the begining.

I just wish i new how to get all the text off my cell phone.

We talk on Skype with a video call also so we don't have much of a chat log, what I do is make sure the date is showing for that call, and then do a screen shot of the two of us by clicking the PRINT SCREEN button, from there I paste it into my word processor and save the file. I do this once a week or so.

But like said for the petition process they want evidence of meeting in person, the evidence of an ongoing relationship is for later during the actual visa process.

Can I just confirm that this is acceptable - Link to screenshot - http://grab.thelongmile.net/bttm

Thank you everyone else, we're building up now and just digging her birth certificate out now.

USCIS wants you to know she is a US citizen, you are free to marry, and have met in person within the last two years. You don't need to weigh down your petition with Skype logs or prove you are in love. You will never need Skype logs, even for your interview, because London doesn't want proof of your relationship at the interview.

you need proof on ongoing relationship. Copy of phone bills with calls. copies of emails and copy of a few chats. Nothing major. if you have logs of calls placed and when on skype, that is all you need.

Supporting evidence needs to be logs, history, records, emails. supporting evidence of meeting in person. Plus include photos with who is in the photos. Many have found the photos printed in a word document with tags underneath work the best.

Cheers, and best of luck...

Actually, you don't. proof of ongoing relationship is needed for the interview at the Embassy. what is needed is proof you've met in person, the two years to filing the petition. some people do front load the I-129f with proof of ongoing relationship, but it is not a requirement.

Well, we sent it and yes we did frontload it a little with some proof of ongoing but only a few pages.

It was receieved at the Dallas lockbox this morning and ironically I leave the USA this afternoon.

Hopefully we will receieve something soon. We can only wait. We are both trying to work out what comes next and fully preparing ourselves for the AOS process as well.

We are both praying but hopefully the next time I am in the USA its at POE, she's coming to the uk at some point.
