NVC can't find our file!?

Hey,

We were approved for the I-129f on Dec. 5th.

I called the NVC numerous times since then to see if they received our file. I was told that it takes X amount of days for them to receive it, etc. etc.

I called again today, the woman (rude b**ch) told me that she can't find the file and to forward the email that we got from USCIS, to them (NVC).

What is going on?

Anyone had to do this before?

This can happen lets hope it shows up by the first of the year, send her the notice you received, keep everyone advised.

Yes, this happened to a friend of mine back in July. For some reason, the NVC process has slowed down. She called and/or emailed every couple of days until they found it. It was one month from the time she got NOA2 until NVC acknowledged receiving her file. After that, it went to the consulate within a couple of days. Try emailing them. It seems to get better results.

I emailed them the notice we got from USCIS.

I got one of those Automated responses, hopefully it will get resolved soon!

Have you ever thought that maybe USCIS still has your file? Happened before. Give them a call and check the status.

I just called USCIS, but didn't get through to an actual Human Being.

I did enter my case number and it said that it was approved and they mailed me the hard copy etc.

How does one talk to a person there!?!

The AVR will say your file has been transferred to the embassy if USCIS sent it.

Called again and The Voice told me that they sent me the approval and follow instructions on it.

mine said it was transferred to embassy but i am spouse so maybe it is different

Did she say it was lost? That can happen... but I think it's probably not in the system (hasnt been put in). Mines took almost a whole month (about 3 weeks) from noa2. I think you should just wait it out because it wont be long before it's sent to embassy.

mines was approved on dec16th. and to this date its not in the system!! i hope NVC doesnt place the same role as USCIS!!

The USCIS centers send files by the pallet , sometimes it takes a while to get the thing full. It usually doesn't take over 6 weeks to get to NVC from the centers.
