we already have our NVC case number and have emailed them following the instructions from james shortcut. anyone have an idea what it means?

Do you remember if you got any confirmation that your email was accepted? They should have sent you an email in return.

the NVC case number was generated on last thursday, my wife emailed them with the NVC case number as the subject and followed james shortcut. this was their reply to that email

I noticed that your case number was assigned the day before you sent an email for your choice of agent. Was the DS-3032 generated yet before you sent the email? Im thinking that may be the case. You must wait until the DS-3032 is generated by NVC before sending it. This applies to everything that the NVC generates. You can call the NVC automated system to find out when things are generated.

Did you call the NVC and hear on the automated line or from an operator that the DS3032 had been generated? It usually takes a while after the case number has been assigned.

The cart went ahead of the horse. I see that your case number was assigned. It takes about 2 weeks for NVC to generate the DS 3032 and AOS Fee Bill after they assigned the case number. So have your wife (the beneficiary) email NVC about choice of agent as soon as DS 3032 is generated.

That also goes for anything else that will be submitted to NVC, following the shortcuts. Wait until you hear that each is generated before submitting the corresponding payment or form. If you look at the NVC Flowchart it shows you in which order that things are generated. Keep in mind that whilst they are two seperate paths....the beneficiary's side which begins with the DS-3032, and the petitioners side which begins with the AOS fee bill.......they do tend to appear to merge if the choice of agent is the USC petitioner as everything gets sent to the agent. If you get confused along the way or think you may have missed an automated message (as you will only hear the most recent), you can call and speak directly with an operator. Only please dont say anything about self generating, just ask if such and such has been generated yet.
