Yeah guys. I hope I will get the packet3 from NVC soon. My NOA2 was approved on 21 Nov 2011 and I checked on website said my packet was mailed to me since 7 Dec .... but I have not get it yet. I hope I will get it by next week too and I guess huge number of mails sending for holiday season makes more work for the post hmmmm

You are labouring under much confusion.

Packet 3 is not mailed out instantly. Expect 3 months .

However, most folk here at the VJ DIY Immigration Web Portal

have learned,

from LingChe's ShortCuts -

that the USCitizen Spouse can kick start the process

with a telephone call into NVC. No Forms are 'sent' via postal mail -

it's a hurdy-gurdy fast-paced 'pay the fees and send the forms' op.

I suggest you hit our Wiki Space here, then look up LingChe , then

have the USCitizen Spouse Read all of it - as it'll become 'the bible' for the next 6 weeks.

I just called NVC and yes they received my case soooo I guess what I see in the website is some kinda of error huh?

if 'the website' is over at USCIS, then yes.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ah - the old K-1 vs CR-1 visa seeking path comparison - Just What is Packet 3 ?

For a K-1 and K-3, Embassy IV Unit does mail out the packet 3 set. But that means nothing, really, as the forms are available for download.

For a CR-1/2/4/5 - All document intake for an immigrant visa is handled with NVC, not the Embassy. One can 'wait' for NVC to send stuff out - there are 3 things, each thing is about 3 months per.

MANY FOLK here at VJ want speed, so they never 'wait' on NVC to 'send stuff' to them; instead they follow LingChe's shortcuts here in the Wiki Space. If you need forms, btw - HEY! DOWNLOAD THEM (and stop thinking to wait on postal mail, please?)

wow

sorry, is best to train up the USCitizen Spouse, with Ling Che here on the wiki.

Otherwise, you will lose time.

UNDERSTANDING the NVC process, as well, helps you to guide your documents generation / collection process.

Perhaps you can't find Ling Che here on the VJ wiki space? Let me know, if indeed, that is the case.
