I'm not sure what you call packet 3 for a spousal visa application, but anyway, NVC is taking a long time to assign a case number, and nothing can be done before that happens. I'm almost one month from NoA2 too, and they confirmed the case was received 2 weeks ago, but still waiting for the next step. Hopefully, it'll come this week.

I waited 42 days...got to nvc on 10/31 and I'm still there, waiting for case complete. It took 3 weeks for a case number and 2 weeks after that to get packet 3, which is choice of agent and ability to pay fees. I called everyday, an emailed until I got a spvsr, to see what the hold up was, and even then it took 5 more days. Be vigilant, good luck:-)

You got me lost here... USCIS website is not able to tell you if NVC has sent you anything. What exactly does your case status say? Did you call NVC and did you learn your case number (I mean the NVC one, because they do assign a new number to your file)? Have you provided the NVC operator with your e-mail and the beneficiary's e-mail addresses?

I'm not sure what it means, I hope someone with more experience can give a hint. My status (approved on Nov30) does not look like that.

What does the case status on top of the page say? Decision? Post-Decision activity?

Just give NVC a call, press 5 to talk to an operator, and give them your USCIS case number. They will be able to tell you if they received your file, if they have assigned a new case number yet, and what's in process.

I guess so! Anyway, after NOA2, your case leaves USCIS so this website become useless for you. It won't be updated.

Did NVC assign a case number to you yet? I'm still waiting for mine.
