The 'default' is via snail mail.

Is possible (but unlikely) that EMS was used.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Still waiting for Guangzhou to reply with EMS number or any information.

It has been 8 days since it has been sent out.

Maybe I can make appointment at Consulate myself and ask for P4 appointment letter copy once I arrive GUZ? so my wife can go to her medical.

Whoa, sorry, I got it wrong this time. Chalk it up to being sick and lack up sleep

but

ask them for confirmation on which address was used for the mailing piece, as well.

GUZ replied and sent me the letter in the email body and said can print out and give to medical and document intake.

The address is messed up a bit, numbers in wrong places and district mentioned 2 times. But I wonder if the EMS was in the Mandarin format.

I am good to go just using the emailed letter, does not have a signature though, but I guess it should be fine.

I do not want to bother GUZ anymore or do an address verification again cause it could possible make them feel the need to reschedule the interview in certain cases.

We can confirm and verify correct address on the EMS form at document intake to ensure passport goes to right place.

holy moly ! you got an interview letter via email ! Not only can you use it for the medical exam, but she'll be allowed into the IV unit as well.

Excellent !

Some movement !!

Getting closer !

I guess I will have to stick with just the emailed sheet,

P4 never arrived still, wondered if GUZ even bothers to add the recipients phone number on the EMS label for P4s?

China Post has not called my wife at all and no notes left.

Has been 8 business days and 2 weekends so far.

I think your wife is the one responsible to add her phone number to the EMS label. I think GUZ wants to be able to just peel and stick pre-addressed label to package!

□ MAILING ADDRESS LABEL:

Please get an EMS label from the China Post office and fill in the information required on the label (note: please write "Immigrant Visa Unit, American Consulate Guangzhou" in the sender's Company Name box, and write "No. 1, South Shamian Street, Guangzhou 510133" in the Address box). Then return the label, together with the forms DS-230 and OF-169 as well as a copy of the bio page of your current passport, to the Consulate. This address label will be used to send you the appointment packet.

Robby - for a paper-filed CR-1/IR-1 - there's no prior 'back and forth' with the beneficiary and GUZ IV, prior to receiving the P4 packet (which includes the interview letter)

so - her chance to even send in 'the proper address on a EMS label' ??

doesn't exist for her, sorry.

IMO, GUZ IV mailroom ops are exceptionally sloppy.

The emailed appointment letter on an EP casefile, IIRC, is also 'english only'.

Tell her not to worry, as there will be SOMEONE at the clinic that can read it,

as

the medical forms are to be completed in English, as well.

Tell her Unca Darnell say , "Stop Freaking Out, cook more Jiaozi"
