DHL was most expensive but probbly best

Fed ex sent me docuents the customs had torn with a knife by accident.

I send all things regular mail now. No return receipt or anything. It gets to him in 8-10 days

I know a dangerous decision but less people to open it up and less chance to destroy my papers.

Also I send him cards at least every 2 weeks for many months so the delivery people are familiar with him and his address. Some addresses in egypt are more difficult to find. He lives in Alexandria.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

I used Fed Ex for all of my deliveries with no complaints. I guess it all depends on what is affordable to you. You can request the Embassy to send documents via email or your fiance can go to the Embassy to pick up the packets.

I sent documents DHL and it was very efficient. I gave instructions though for them to hold the package at the DHL office to be picked up, because his address is difficult (impossible?) to find, and that worked out very well for us. Hope that helps.

Also, if you can keep that package within the envelope size provided by DHL, and try other means like scanning, etc. for documents that can be done that way, it is much cheaper. I wish I had done that, because I nearly fainted when my package cost $200+ to send. I'm sure you probably knew that already; I didn't so I thought I'd add it here.

You do get a receipt. If you send a package, the customs receipt is your tracking number. All you have to do is send anything that needs to be declared, and you'll have to fill a customs form. That can be traced.

I send them USPS or DHL.

I do not choose to get a receipt. My letter does not go through any declarations. As I wrote I just send it regular mail and he gets is within 8 to 10 days. I found when I sent using fed ex or priority mail that it actually takes longer because of the customs having to look at it and scan it. So, I choose to send regular mail and I have not had any issue with lost mail. It gets to him safely.

right. Also, remember USPS doesn't have its own air fleet. UPS and FED EX do. USPS uses commercial airlines for mail, so that's why regular mail arrives faster as it has more choices to use.

I have not ever had postal mail delivered that fast for me..lol. I had not had a problem with fed-ex, except they can not find his address and we had to call them to give directions to deliever. Post always seems to take almost 3 weeks. Where fed-ex is 4 days on ecomony rate. But the rates is enough to make me kill over..lol.

Where does he live? My husband lives in Alexandria Louran. And as I said I think the post man is used to his address cause I sent him probably over 40 cards weekly. So, regular post just costs me 3 stamps!!
