Hey Gland,

Not sure about the consulate in Vietnam but my fiance went with all the required paperwork and her photos in tow.

During the interview they asked for specific items from the package.. I surmise that one of the things they will ask for will be the photos.

We were successful by assembling a checklist of requirements and ensuring that they were available to the official at the time of interview.

Our approach was to take everything we may need but only provide what was specifically asked for at the interview. My poor fiance walked in there holding a stack of binders worthy of a Watergate defense attorney.

Interestingly enough, there were certain docs from the package that they did not ask for.

A constant truth often broached on the boards here is that each embassy has specific instructions for the beneficiary. Equally true are occasions where they do not follow to the letter their own instructions.

Our experience of having it all and only providing what is asked for was successful for us.

Simply our experience.. YMMV..

Best of luck!!
