Removing conditions?

My wife came in with a conditional visa and its time for us to remove the conditions.

As you know, as proof of our continued relationship we need to show things like joint ownership of leases, bank accounts, credit cards, etc.

Unfortunately, I just realized that the address on our lease doesn't match the address on every other document that we have. I was living with my parents before we got married and well, ... we never bothered to update our address on all of our documents. (To keep my credit score high.)

So now two years later all of our documents show my parents' address except for our lease.

Will that be a problem?

the LPR and the sponsor are supposed to notify USCIS within 10 days of any change of address.

others will offer advice too, but i think you need to rectify the situation (change your address to accurately reflect where you live) and be honest with USCIS about the situation. when you submit your ROC, include a letter that explains the discrepancies.

i am unfamiliar with any cases where not updating an address became a big problem, but its possible it could lead to an rfe or an interview.

I'm already within the 90-day renewal period so I think it may be too late.

I was thinking I could just *not* show the lease evidence. Even if we hadn't moved out, I still would *not* have a lease contract with both our names so we would be in the same boat.

Your going to have a problem. You cant lie as to where you are living. Put your current address on the forms and don't pretend you are living where you are not.

Green card holders by law have to update their address. - at this point its no good since you never did that, but you have to put your new address on the forms, you cant lie about where you live.

You will also have issues with proving you live together if you do not supply something that states you are, be it a lease or a letter from your parents stating living arrangements.

They want proof of 2 years of living together and co-mingling finances, they will ask for proof of living together if you just skip sending it.

Yeah, the above commenter is right. They're going to ask for proof of living together anyway so I might as well straighten everything out. Sigh... I was hoping to do that *after* we bought our house.
