Was the first guy who was arrested for rape the same guy she was trying to petition in this thread? If so, she is beyond help. And yes, the CO was spot on. Getting him fingerprinted will help a lot in preventing him from using the system some how later on. If not, then she got engaged to another guy in like 90 days? Some one help me out here.

As near as I can understand, it's the same man. She said in her previous thread she was cancelling her petition. There wouldn't have been time to meet another man, file, and get to the interview stage in two months.

"You are so right and I've been told this by many. However, I cancelled my petition because I've learned that he was charged for rape and indecent behavior. Thank God I dodged a bullet. Hope his #### rots in jail. Next time I wont be so hasty. You really have to get to know a person before making such a drastic step. i feel very relieved."

It would seem that she changed her mind, and he went ahead to the interview, and was denied.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Before ALL get their panties in a tangle, if he had been charged it would have been listed on his Police Cert. If there had been an open charge, the Police would have sent his PC to the embassy, he would not have been allowed to hand carry it. There are pices missing from this OP post.

It doesn't sound, as if a case of marriage fraud assumption was necessarily made by the CO, but rather the fact that enough evidence has not been provided at interview and they cannot say, without doubt that you are in a bonafide marriage. I'd follow the suggestions of the above to contact congressman or attorney...

It's really funny to see how some people use the internet to feel important. For your imformation my fiance was denied based on he wasnt able to prove a bonafide relationship. As far as his charge it was dropped due to no evidence and was wrongfully arrested. He was released from prison and case dropped. That is why I went ahead with the interview. Since you guys are such immigration attorneys then you shouldnt be on visajourney.com. I dont care how many stars are on your names. OK? this is why I would rather take advice from people who ARE familiar with the Jamaican embassy and how it works.

Those are hearts, not stars. And, again, the Jamaican Embassy is not involved in the fiancee visa process. It's the US Embassy in Jamaica.

My question related to your post. You wrote that you cancelled the petition, not that you were thinking about it or going to cancel it but that you already did. If you didn't cancel it, then so be it.

Good luck.

And part of what many of us know is that the procedures not only don't vary much between Consular units but some of us actually ARE familiar with how things are done in Kingston and many other places our loved ones have never been.

We also know that at this point, even more important than familiarity with the Consular Unit, the fact the petition will be returned to Vermont instead of to California means she may actually have a chance to offer a rebuttal. When they are returned to California, they just notify you the petition approval has expired and you can try again if you want.

Actually I did post it in the Jamaican Forum. Click Portals at the top of the screen, then look for the country Jamaica. When you get there read the Forums and sure enough you will see my post there..

Oh and by the way, we weren't denied. We're going through Administrative Review because they want to check my background to verify that I just started a new job. So thank you guys..Like I said I would PREFER people who are from Jamaica and familiar with the Jamaican embassy. Yes I know it's the U.S. Embassy, but the way things are done varies from country to country. Look up Administrative Reviews and you'll see how some people are dealt with.

I don't think you understand how the portal feature works. This is not the Jamaica Forum.

Well I posted it in the Jamaican forum.. Do exactly what I told you. What you live on Visa journey or something? You sit and look at your computer screen so you can respond to posts to feel like an immigration attorney? Oh please get a life. Most of you people on this site are negative. I respect those who understand and are respectful.

No you haven't. Furthermore, you have been given some very good advice by people here who know what they are taking about. You need to pick a story and stick to it. Insulting people who are very knowledgeable, and who are trying to help you will get you nowhere.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Sorry to be the voice of reasoning, but the OP did post this thru the Jamaican forum. But that is not the issue here, NO one should be insulting anyone on this board. All are adults, (I hope so) some may not act like it, but none of us are mothers or fathers of the OP who can justify posting comments as if they are disiplining children.

Post your statement to aid in the problem and move on, whether the OP likes it or not is up to them.

OP, sometimes you may get omments you don't like, but remember you did come and ask for assistant. You can always request that the topic be close, and that will end the posting for all.

There is no "Jamaican forum".

There is a "Jamaica" portal, that filters posts for viewing. There is a "Latin & South America, Mexico & the Caribbean forum".
