Maybe if I tell the story it will be a bit more interesting. I told her that I was not going to give her a gift for Christmas because I was too busy at work. A week before Christmas, I placed a Christmas card on the Christmas tree and told her it was her gift. She kept telling me how come she had time to buy me a gift and I could not do the same. She was joking saying, go to the supermarket and get her a pen. She really wanted to feel 'the unwrapping a gift feeling'.

Right after 12:00 am on the 25, I unwrapped my gift and she read the her Christmas card. She was okay with it but she really wanted a gift. Even something from the 99 cents store.

The morning of Christmas while still in bed, the dog started to bark. (Exactly what I needed) I told her to go and check on the dog. I told her I could not do it because I felt sleepy. She went down stair and gave the dog some water enough. Enough time for me to reach for the gift I bought for her.

When she came back to the room, I was waiting for her with the gift on my hands and told her "Merry Christmas and kissed her forehead". She started crying of emotion. I didn't mean to make her cry but it was so cute to see her so emotional unwrapping her gift and then the SHOUT after she saw what it was.

Now let me hear your story. I know all of you did it in your special way.

P.S: Good thing, I found out exactly what gift she really really wanted.

ah. a drama story, without any bad recourse.

Whew. I was worried a bit, till you wrote stuff in post # 20.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

"Other TOS violations"? Is that code for "prejudice"? Isn't that where the bickering started?

When did responding to prejudice become a TOS violation?

A thread ban?! Additional administrative action?! For what...calling out prejudice?!

Sheesh...

Ya I have to agree great intention, bad delivery, but you still get an extra serving of kibble. Next Christmas have some simple gifts from the Dollar store under the tree so your Bride see presents with her name on them, then surprise her with the special gift after she opens the gift with the new spatula...
