I-129F FINALLY :)

Ok! Decision has been made, and we are going to file an I 129F. So I have a few questions

When writing our letters of intent to marry as well as the description of how we have met ( within the last two year) Do we get all sappy and pour our hearts out with our love and why we want to marry and all that jazz? Or, do we keep it simple and business like and say we intend to marry on this day and keep it short? LOL if it's up to me I will write a book with glitter and music as an expression of myself, however I know that I tend to go overboard and this may be too much for the USCIS. Or is there a benefit of showing who we are in this stuff? xD OMG why can't it be so simple LOL

It would be best to keep your letter of intent simple. Follow the letter that is in the guides. They just want to know that you will get married within the 90 days after you arrive in the US on your visa.

You will do another updated one for your interview.

The note on how you met you can elaborate a little more, but don't make it too long. I included a few visits after the first visit and the one we had planned next.

Send a few pictures together. A couple pages of phone records, email chats, passport stamps or boarding passes.

Agreed. The letter of intent should be very simple. One sentence. How you met letter should be one page. They are not going to read a novel. They just want to know how your relationship developed. Example..we met on line on a chat site and over several months we spent many hours talking. I first flew to meet her in October of 2010 and spent several weeks with her and her family.Get the picture? And yes, it can be as simple as you want it to be.

I just copied the letter of intent as per the example. Then I wrote about 1/2 page about how we met to include where they say you can write extra - I kept it simple, straight-forward, and unflowery. I think they want to see you are level-headed and not looking at things through rose-colored glasses.

Most times, a four-line paragraph is enough. No need for any lovey-dovey or mushy story.
