Me and my wife, the K1 holder, gave birth to our newborn son in the U.S. We are ready to fill out the I-751 form for my wife and stepdaughtter as K1/K2 visa holders. Should we add our newborn son in part 5 of the application? Or just add our stepdaughter the K2 holder?

Not too long ago, I read a post about a person who placed their U.S. newborn baby on part 5 on their I-751 form. All of a sudden, USCIS sent a request for an application fee for the child. Of course, it seems a like a huge misunderstanding. I want to make sure that I don't fall into this kind of mistake.

Yes you put your son in part 5. It says "List all children". It also asks for address/immigration status. You would put "US citizen" for the status.

Your WIFE gave birth to the baby... I would hope you didn't :S :P Also the K2 is YOUR step-daughter, and HER daughter. Seems a bit nit-picky but it's important to be accurate when giving info so you can get accurate advice.

i apologize for the misunderstanding :bonk: hehe. Thanks for replying back to my question. I also have another problem. Our address is too long and I don't know how it would be possible to include both the address and immigration status together. I'm trying to fill this form out on my pc. Can you give me any suggestions on how I can squeeze both the address and immigration status together? I would appreciate it so much. Thanks!

You know I wondered the same. If you shorten the street to "st" or road to "rd" and the state to the two letter it still doesn't fit? If not, I would personally write "as above / U.S. citizen". That seems like a totally valid answer to me.
