i am more than 7 mos prego and we are really in a hurry and had my ticket dated jan 4, 2012 and i need to have my visa in hand on the 3rd so i can still have time for sticker in CFO (i already have attended the seminal just going there to get the sticker) We are planning to deliver our baby in the U.S. but at the embassy after interview they said i need to get new passport since my passport is defective (it was wet- i already had processed and will get it on the 27th)... so my question is, after sending my passport to them, im planning to ask and try to go to embassy if i can just deliver personally & pick up my passport/visa right at the embassy and will tell them that i already have a ticket. since i heard they accommodate expedite for pregos... so i just want to know if its really possible???? anybody tried pick up the visa at the embassy instead of the long and uncertain date to when we can really receive the visa through there courier??

Yes, it is possible! Just talk and explain your situation, and they will take care of that.

I hope your embassy is as understanding and giving as yours though but thank you for the reply is encourage and inspires me:)

Depends on printing at the US Embassy and how long you are in Manila for. If you are staying in Manila, they may let you pick up or they may have you pick up at a local 2GO branch near the embassy (sm mall maybe?) I hope all works out for you. Has to be frustrating to have to get your passport replaced while nearly complete. Good luck, and congrats in being able to come to USA.

As per my son's case, they didn't Allow it.. I asked CO if i can pick it up because I only came back to the Philippines for his interview and told him my Employer gave me only certain amount of days and he said I can pick it up at 2go MOA(Mall of Asia). He said the processing for the visa printing is 2 bussiness days and 1 day for delivery. My son's Interview was December 9'th of 2011(friday) and we got the his IR2-visa December 14th of 2011(wednesday).. He was right 2 bussiness day and 1 day for delivery. But maybe they can expedited yours.. Goodluck

happier than ever
