What are the penalties for travelling to Cuba if you get caught? is it a serious offense? or more like "jaywalking"?

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

wow... jigga & i were just discussing this same thing a few days ago. he really wanted to go to cuba. alot of bahamians go to visit, see doctors or go to med school there. i'm never been but i'm told is a really beautiful place. thousands of dollars in fines and all sorts of potential USCIS complications isn't worth it to me.

What's the appeal of going to Cuba anyway? It's a very poor country and it can't be that great a place or the Cubans wouldn't be so darned keen on leaving it en masse! Go to Jamaica or some place like that if you want to go to a larger Carribean island.

Jamaica's even poorer.

When I was down in Key West on vacation, we chartered a boat out for a while. The guy who took us out told us that the local boys loved going down to Cuba because the women were "cheap and easy". I asked him how he goes given the legal issues involved, and he said that's no problem at all. You just gotta know people and they do.

Well alot of people from home go to Cuba for these reasons.........

A week of sunshine on a beautiful beach, all the booze you can consume, all the food you can get, great rooms, airfare, and a great tan all for a great price. :yes:
