I do know that I would find much cheaper rates for flight after New Years Eve, but the thing is that as I stated we want to spend NYE together, so we have came to the conclusion that we will get the ticket for wed, thursday or friday with a layover where I wont need visa like in any of the countries I said in my prior post :) Thank you again guys, found a flight for about $1100 hopefully its still available by tuesday!

You dont need ANY visa for any country as long as you stay inside the departure (airside) area of the airport.

You are wrong and obviously dont know what you are talking about. You need to have your facts straight before you start shooting your mouth off. Thank God there are knowledgeable people like me in this forum to keep people like you in check.

if not factual then what good is it

Definitely better than posts giving completely wrong information I would have thought, I notice you didn't pull those up.

Thanks for your contributions to the OP and this thread though

Hmmm. this is interesting!

I have travelled through two dozen countries in Europe and Asia and never was required to purchase a transit visa? Is it based on countries that dont have formal treaties, countries not friendly to one another, countries with high fraud rates, or some other factor?

I layed over in South Korea and Japan going to and from Vietnam. I never used a visa in either of those countries. Just went from one plane to the next. Guess I'm lucky?

Or that US Citizens never need a visa to enter South Korea or Japan, either for a transit or for an extended vacation time?

Ok, then after the first correct answer, all the rest is unnecessary B.S., no need to continue the thread for 4 pages.

What is the dead dog? and why would it be on my conscience (not conscious. Also, it seems quite unconscious to me...)?

Correct, the ASPCA wouldn't let me use an actual dead dog in the making of this post

I would love to, if people (like you) would STOP quoting my post.

By the way, it was a joke, relax. Dont be such a hater.

we'll see if you can leave it alone or must you have the last word?

In my travels I have'nt needed a visa to just layover. As long as you dont leave the airport you should have no problems.

Incorrect, it all depends on what passport you are traveling with and what country is the layover; and in some cases even what country is your final destination.

I travel extensively around the world and believe me when I say that a Peruvian passport in will raise eyebrows in almost every country. And as it has been mentioned in this thread, Peruvian passport holders have the rare privilege of collecting visas for about any country in the world.

Actually I was one the first few people to respond to the OP. I have also had my original response quoted numerous times which required a response. Therefore I do have some ownership and right to participate in this thread without your approval.

I travel extensively around the world and believe me when I say that a Peruvian passport in will raise eyebrows in almost every country. And as it has been mentioned in this thread, Peruvian passport holders have the rare privilege of collecting visas for about any country in the world.

Peruvians do need visa for many countries, like US, Canada, Australia, most Europe countries, etc.

For a tourist visa Peruvians do not need any visa for Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Panamá, Nicaragua, Trinidad y Tobago, Brunei, South Corea, Emiratos Arabes Unidos, Filipinas, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Líbano, Malasia, Singapur, Tailandia, Russia, Panamá and more.

Peruvian passport wont raise any eye brown if the Peruvian passport holder has the right visa in their passport or if the country is one of the mentioned above or any other that doesnt require a visa, visas are requered to avoid illegal inmigration of people from other countries, and while there are illegal Peruvians in US and other countries Peru is not one of the countries with high number of illegal inmigrants, and its economy is very stable, what is happening is instead of that, we are receiving many inmigrants and some of them still illegal in our country. Just to clarify the "raise eyebrowns" expression. Merry Christmas
