I am in a process of K1 visa. NOA1 is dated as November 2, 2011 in Texas.

I want to visit my fiance around first week of May, by which I might or might not be getting K1.

I know there's no certain answer to the guaranteed entry and that I need to bring documented proof of tie to my country.

The problem is that I now have a job but by next May, my job will be finished and I'll be unemployed. (I'm not going to find another job because in a month or two, I'll be moving to the States) I don't have housing under my name. I have band account which doesn't have lots of money.(Although I don't know what CBP officer considers "enough" amount to be a proof)

Most likely all I can show CBP officer is my round trip plane ticket and possibly a proof of address(bill stuff)

I just got back from U.S and only staying in Korea for 6`7months till I get K1.

Is anybody in a same situation with me?

What else would be good to bring to pass through the airport?

I havent lived in Korea for past 6 years and don't have a lot left here that's under my name. I'm even using a prepaid cell phone at the monent without a contract. It's just difficult for me to get anything under my contract because my stay will be very short(less than a year is considered very short and temporary in Korea in terms of contract and any other system)

Also, when I visit in May, I'll bring a wedding gown looking dress in my luggage. I and all my friend have a engagement/wedding party. Would they look through my luggage and get suspicious that I have a dress? Even though I won't be getting married? Will they believe me if I look them in the eyes and it's not a ceremony but just a formal party?

Please help me to visit my fiance and friends! Thanks and merry christmas everybody

Return trip can be considered as a part of somewhat strong ties, but it depends up to when is the return ticket? Whether is it in short term or long term? Regarding Gown looking dress, if they check, and find out, then you just will be in questionable situation. Better not to bring that dress. Better to buy in USA if you get entry. Or ship that dress first in USA thru postal service, and luckily if you get entry in USA, then collect it from your friend ( wherever you sent it ). Of course, being employees makes a strong tie, but it also depends about where you are, like whether in high profile company or small company. Depend up to many factors, officials, luck! :)

OP -

The LAST thing I would do is to pack a wedding gown in your luggage. If your luggage is chosen for secondary inspection (which is a likelyhood being that you just returned from US recently), and gown is discovered, your intent to enter can be misconstrued as intent to marry on this trip.

Significant ties to home country are what count when entering on visit, and CBP has the absolute right to deny entry as they see fit. I would obtain anything which shows you are not planning to immigrate on the upcoming trip - obviously the more you have, the better your odds for entry become. Having a wedding dress in your luggage would cause serious doubt to CBP as to your intention.

Good luck.
