Case: one's I-130 is approved and being processed at NVC. Now k-3 is approved and makes it to the embassy before I130.

Now, is it possible to go for k-3 interview, get a visa and wait for I-130 and go for I130 interview.?

I am thinking of doing this because I don't my wife to wait if I-130 is delayed beyond reasonable time. So she can have k-3 and wait to see if I-130 is processed soon.
