RFE for I-864

hi everyone, my time line: send AOS package on oct 10th, NOA received oct 28, finally got hard copy of RFE today. I need to send the requested evidence but I have a few questions.

1)We messed up and included my husband income on the I864, so they need prove that he was authorized to work for his income to be included which we do not have so we need a sponsor

2)they mentioned if we do decide we may obtain a joint sponsor who will need to file form I-864, provide copies of the most recent federal income tax, so as to meet 125% above poverty level

this are my questions, does the joint sponsor that we decide to obtain have to live in the same household with us, while sending the RFE with the joint sponsor included should I or should I not write a narrative stating that we will not be using my husbands income

The joint sponsor does not have to live in the same household. They would file an I-864 as well and must meet the 125% of poverty level guidelines for their household and your spouse.

The I-864A is used for household members. So if your cosponsor lived in your house, they would fill out an I-864A. Or if your co-sponsor had a spouse that they lived with whose income would be included, then the cosponsor would fill out an I-864 and their spouse would fill out an I-864A.
