So, yer husband had an interview for a K-3 visa.

What's up with the I-130 at NVC?

Call into NVC on Tuesday, find out.

IF the I-130 is still active, and is still at NVC -

kick start the CR-1/IR-1 visa process into play by requesting the AOS fee bill to be sent to your email, in that phone call to NVC.

Let us know what's up after the phone call on Tuesday. Reminder - NVC closes at 23:59 EST .

Double Reminder - if you still have the IR-1/CR-1 path available, you'll need to give a ton of stuff with the DS-230 , in addition to all of the required documents, you'll need to attach more relationship evidence.

as an aside, can you please 'cut out' any of the 'lolz' that seem to be peppered throughout yer posts? TIA !

thanks I will call.

well my poor husband finally opened up and explained that the comment as he walked up to the window was"well arent you just the smart cuties guy "I told him at that point the best he could have done was vomited at the window stated he was sick and ask for another interview because with a opening statement like that it was apparent the mind set was already made

I don't understand what is offensive about the bolded portion. It doesn't entirely make sense either.

What YOU figure, and a few bucks will get you a beer, not a visa. What a CO figures is what counts. See suggestion in your other thread.

I hate it that beer prices have increased.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

your kidding right?

No. Is this a cultural thing I don't get? A "cutie" is someone who is cute (or recently I've read also brand of the fruit "mandarine"). "Smart" means smart. So they appear to be saying "Well aren't you an attractive intelligent man" (assuming you missed a word in there) or "Well you must be the attractive intelligent girls husband". Like I said, I'm obviously missing something.

Please understand that IN MOST SITUATIONS - the mindset is 'made' already by reading the contents of the casefile.

A VO will do that, prior to the interview.

yeah ,its not a normal greeting from a professional and BTW invalidation is a form of psychological attack

That was a come-on statement to see where he would take it. If the petitioner was serious about his marriage, he would have ignored the statment without even a hint of a smile. "flirting"

Ooooohhh... okay... Why the intense outrage and comment about vomiting though? If it's not actually an insult but instead just a "testing" statement.. that's why I was confused. Maybe the OP doesn't realise it's not an insult?

Remember we don't know all there is to know about the couple. The CO does, they have pictures and bio's.

You still didn't explain why it was so insulting (or what it meant) but Life's did... I still don't think it's an insult so your reaction is a little over the top but maybe it was inflection or something.... I also do not believe there was sufficient "invalidation" to claim it was psychological abuse... based on what you've said. I think there's still a lot about what happened at the interview that you haven't said.

Have you posted a FULL interview review and I missed it? What questions were asked? Which ones did he get wrong? What comments were made?

what i meant was if that was the greeting it says something ...like no need to go any further mind set has been made ,general my experence has been with any official there is at the very least even at the unemployment line a generalized hello.my spouse said it felt sarcastic

i myself felt it was at the very least a inappropriate greeting not normal for a official. If your reading people which you need to do at any interview no matter what kind it is a statement like that says a lot about the mind set of the person. I would have viewed it as a no go from any type of interview

BTW my spouse although he felt upset shaken tramatized and somewhat angry keep his calm and remained unemotional like i told him to ,I am saying he was Doomed from the start in my opinon and short of becoming violently ill and requesting another interview it was a rejection and not much he could have said or done to change the mind set

My greeting was "bad day huh?". I had injured myself on the trip there, including being over an hour late for my interview (which meant emailing the consulate to beg ask to proceed with the interview when I eventually arrived). Lol. It was all uphill from there!
