We had our medical and interview on Dec 13th, and all went really well until today when my Fiance picked up the passports in Abbottsford, and noticed that they had stamped his sons passport as a female.

I tried calling and it was mostly automated, with the email contact info, so I have emailed the consulate in order to see what needs to be done to correct it - but what a pain! We were hoping for POE on January 13th. Now, I am not too sure :(

Any other advice or insight?

K-1 Visa Process:

June 6th: E-NOA2 notification

Dec 13th: Medical

Dec 13th: Interview (APPROVED!!)

Dec 22nd: Received Visa's - wrong gender on son's visa :(

I just updated my timeline - our interview was on the 13th. He picked up the passports today. Luckily, living so close, I can drive across the border and see him every weekend, so I won't complain, but it's frustrating to be so close and now a little mix up to set us back! I will keep faith and patience however :)

Try sending a fax to the US embassy with attention IV unit supervisor.

They do not accept phone calls and rarely if ever answer emails. Also they wont just let you walk into the embassy unless you have an appointment / letter card to get inside.
