So after waiting 11 months. Two inquiries from our senator. We get a letter in mail yesterday saying that they will be sending us an interview date. Seriously?

Ugh! I so hate this. They asked us to bring ALL the same documents we mailed to them to begin with for the I-751. I'm hoping within a few weeks we'll have an interview date. I was thinking about bringing our child. Any thoughts?

Anyhow, I'll let you all know how it goes once we have our interview date.

The RFE has what I assume is standard text, that if I submit enough evidence the director may waive an interview.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have an interview, I feel it would be much faster. I am pretty certain if they were to interview both of us separately we would pass no problem.

As it is, I think I have enough info. For anyone interested in knowing what was in the pack:

complete print outs of both the joint bank accounts going back to 2010. annotated notees showing we both pay for things (this was a LOT of paper)

heath/vision/dental plans showing we cover each other

all our car insurance cards (joint policy)

car finance agreement we are both on for her new car

taekwondo agreement for me and my stepdaugther

about 10 invouices from terminix and other home repair stuff for work carried our

lawn maintenance agreement

My biggest problem is the house is in my wifes name, we have no joint tenancy and we filed taxes separately.

Are you serious???? Did you get a RFE?? We got one...I mailed in the 2nd 2 inch thick packet last week. :unsure: I hope it's what they want.

Hello Everyone, thanks for keeping the board alive. I know i'm been away for a while. Well my husband got his 10 year green card. whoo hooo. I can't remember now when it was approved but we got it in the mail October 1st, 2012, 7 months after biometrics. Those that are still waiting hang in there.
