Jim is on his way home from work and can't wait to see my new card! LOL. He was at Battalion Company Training today and I couldn't call him so I sent him a text. He called me back when training was over and said, "Well hello, my Permanent Resident wife!" We were both giddy! LOL. Then I told him the new GC was green and he said, "I thought the green card WASN'T green!" hahaha. I wish my picture on the new GC was as nice as the one on my old one though - I look grumpy on this one :( but the card is very pretty and colorful! I really like the new design :D

BTW, do you know if the card sleeve that came with the GC really does have RFID protection? It just looks like a plain paper sleeve - not even Tyvek?

I am sure your husband is delighted that the green card finally arrived. I was just as happy when my husband's card got here (or maybe more than he was ;) ).

As for the card sleeve, that's a really good question. I am not sure.. it does look like just plain white paper. Maybe someone else knows the answer to that question. I am curious to know too.

Hey, I've a feeling that our ROC cases for VSC are at STANDSTILL! What do you think? Dec 2011 is stopped at 2 approved couple of weeks ago ... iSad ....

Looks like it. Thankfully, we can just begin the naturalization process without it, and once that's complete we never have to deal with this absurd system again.

No, you don't. If you're eligible to file N-400 based on residency length, you can do that even if your I-751 is still pending.

Congrats Fatima!! That is great news glad to know even with an RFE things can work quicker.

Im sadden too about the VSC slowing down.. it's officially 8months now... I hope that more of our members will hear back from VSC. Would have loved to have my 10yr GC in hand and contemplate weither I want to apply for the Citizenship asap or not.

Hello everybody, I have a question about checking the case status via the web page of USCIS. It has been more than 6 months that I did my biometrics, but still once I try to check my case status, "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status"!

I am wondering is this only me or they do not update their web before 7,8 or 9 months?!Thanks...

What receipt are you using? You should used the number from the Biometric appointment letter, then you are correct, and also, you and I have the same issue as I do.
