LOL, I know! It's still a little early but the reminder letter they sent to our old address really got me worried (USPS will stop forwarding our mail at the end of March 2012).

We decided to send a paper form AR-11 to Harrisonburg just in case - I did call the USCIS Military Help Line back in December and they said that all notices regarding the I-751 will be sent to the address on the I-751 form :D

I really want to get the NOA so I can get a State ID with the extended expiration - my Temporary Instruction Permit expired last November :(

I'm feeling a little antsy too because I found a few more things I wanted to include in our packet but completely forgot about :( Jim is being the voice of reason again - telling me not to worry. :D if we do get an RFE, at least we'll have some more evidence to send :)

There is still a feeling of uncertainty and a little bit of waiting for the ROC process but I want it to fade fast. We have gone through the visa and AOS periods and those should've already given us more confidence than ever. luv.gif

I am also reminded that although my state ID expires in 2016, I better schedule and pass my actual driving test before my learner's permit expires in the beginning of May. idea9dv.gif

As for the change of address, my husband and I moved twice after receiving my green card. I only filed AR-11 once and that was for our current address, something I submitted last year. Since USPS has long stopped forwarding mails from our very first address to the second address, I didn't expect to receive a reminder from USCIS in our third address. I just hope that USCIS will route all ROC updates to our present address because I am so excited to get things done.

Fatima, I think it will come this week. We live in Cali so ours didn't have far to go.

I want the same for mine once I submit the I-751.

Laguna Niguel is really just 62 miles away from home.

Thank you, menina and Calypso ^_^ You guys always cheer me up :) We're currently way up north in Michigan (where Lake Huron is) - almost as far up north as you can get in the Lower Peninsula, LOL - we're stationed here until April 2013. Our previous mail carrier has only misdelivered our mail once and misdelivered somebody else's mail to us once but we have a new mail carrier who knows me and even puts our packages inside our garage even though our mailbox is at the other end of our house ^_^

I got my I-797 Notice of Action today and it says your conditional residence status has been extended for 1 year, that I will be receiving appointment notice for biometrics, and that if I haven't done so I need to submit the supporting documentation. Is this normal that they extend the status? I was worried that I will not be able to work if my new card doesn't arrive by the end of March.

12/21/2009 Package mailed

12/23/2009 Package received

01/04/2010 All 3 NOA received dated 12/30

01/14/2010 Applied for expedite, I-130 and I-765 touched

02/02/2010 Walked in and did biometrics

02/19/2010 EAD Card production ordered

02/27/2010 EAD arrived in mail (Day 51)

03/03/2010 Filed for change in address

03/08/2010 Received change in address confirmation

03/29/2010 INTERVIEW AT 9:30AM - APPROVED (Day 81)

Yes, it's normal. They extend your status for a year because sometimes ROC can take many months or even over a year for some... Your NOA is proof of your legal immigration status in the U.S. while USCIS is processing your I-751 ^_^ When did you mail your I-751 and what's the receipt date on your notice? And which service center did you mail it to, California or Vermont? (so I can add you to our list :))
