Just like the rest of you, there is still no touch on my application even after my biometric appointment. I hope approvals come raining on us very soon.

menina, may the best of things happen to you and your husband in your upcoming interview. We're all excited here to hear how it goes. good.gif

Hi visa journey friend, I have a question regarding on removing conditions did you filed this by your own guys? Coz i dont really want to hire again a lawyer its really expensive though.I want to make it sure i prepare right and hope no mistakes .. Do i really need to have bona fide evidence on our marriage for 2 years? It says on here that i read is its not actually required .As long u have some both names proof of evidence and its up to you if you want more proof. Does anyone could help me? Thanks and advance..

I can't remember anyone in this thread mentioning that they hired a lawyer to file their I-751. You might want to check out the guides:

We didn't hire a lawyer, my husband didn't want to because this process it's pretty simple only i-751 forms and our evidence. He said we could save the $2000 dollars our attorney was trying to charge and use it for our celebration trip when the 10 GC card arrives. Depends on your case, I think that If your case it's complicated then you should seek legal advise otherwise, you can do it on your own. :) VJ has great on how the paperwork should be filled out and USCIS has great instructions online too!

Thank you everyone for your support. We put together some additional evidence from the date of filing until now. There isn't much since only a little over a month has passed, but at least we will have something to show. I asked a few more people for affidavits and did a lot of research about people in similar situations. It seems like this may just be a random pick--hopefully it is. I will definitely post as soon as I can after the interview and again when we have an answer. I feel calmer now that a couple days have gone by. One more week of waiting to find out what this is all about. We have a bonafide marriage and have been together the whole time, so I can't think of anything that could have a negative impact on our case. Thanks to all my VJ friends for the advice and support. It really helps alot. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

I Will say try to gather as much information as possible, but If you don't have a lease together I don't think it's a bit deal, maybe ask your husbands landlord to write you a letter saying you both live together. I myself did not have a lease with my hubby, but we did have bills, bank accounts, affidavits, etc. our old attorney once said that if we didn't have a lease it's good to have affidavits from friends who have visited your home and seen you both live together. Don't really worry about it too much, just gather all the info you have. I was freaked out at first but honestly I'm not anymore specially when my hubby told me that he will do anything us to stay together, and I'm pretty sure yours will too!! I just don't see why uscis will deny any or our applications because we are all legit and in love! It sucks that we have to gather so much paperwork! But I guess that's what they want. In regards to the letter it's my husband writing it and signing it, we did get this from an online template but change it a bit to fit our case and evidence.

am I the only one that isn't concerned about the lack of touches after biometrics? given the backlog/amount of people ahead of us in the queue... why would they pick up our files? I imagine our biometrics stuff get updated in a system somewhere and they don't match it up to our cases until it is our turn.

Trust me, you are not the only one. Its been one month so far, and it seems like we have at least 6 more months to go before we MIGHT start hearing something...smh...definitely not an efficient way to spend my $590 fee...

Today is a month since my NOA1, and no ASC notice yet. Should I call USCIS? Or just keep waiting? I mean, my life is continuing as normal, not like the last two times lol.

Naturalized Citizen January 14, 2014

I hope you receive your biometric appointment notification before the week ends, Astrid.

I logged in to my online account on USCIS and the only thing they say about biometric scheduling is this:

"If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment."

Maybe your nearest ASC is quite busy. Anyway, it may just be time to contact the USCIS already.
