Hi Everyone,

Quick question, I am planning to travel for a week with my brother the first week of March(who I haven't seen over a year) he surprised me a booked a trip for us to the Bahamas :) he is my only big brother and I had told himthat I wasnt going to be able to travel until my I received my new GC. My current GC expires April 15th, will I have any issues re entering the US with an GC that will expire in a month?

you shouldn't have any issues, just bring your original extension letter (NOA), just to be certain.

I received the NOA on the 24th of Jan

and just got my Bio appt for the 24th of Feb.

Not updated my biometrics date yet but will do so. I have something interesting though.

My biometrics appointment is for Wednesday 8th in Tampa, however I am in DC for a while working, so I was going to put it off until next month. However when I called in I was told I can do to any Appointment Service Center on the day with my letter and expired card and get them taken.

That's pretty good, so I don't need to delay! Has anyone here done same? ie gone to a different ASC? In a different state?

Just got my Biometrics notice for 03/02/2012. Should I be alarmed that nearly everyone in CSC got scheduled for the Biometrics appointment roughly a month after they had filed and mine was scheduled roughly a month an a half? Oh well, at least I have an appointment :)

25 January 2010: Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, EAD and AP - sent via UPS overnight delivery to Chicago Lockbox

26 January 2010: Received by receptionist CHIBA at 8:30 AM/Received date on NOA

02 February 2010: Checked cashed/Notice date

26 February 2010: Biometrics DONE/RFE Received-case processing resumed

17 March 2010: Email approval notifications - EAD & AP.

22 March 2010: Received AP by mail. Received interview schedule notice for 22 April.

22 April 2010: Greencard Approved :)

Please update Missmissy - NOA1 January 31, 2012; Biometrics February 17, 2012. Whew! We thought UPS had lost the packet, it wasn't scanned somewhere along the way and the tracking stopped. How many actually have interviews - any ideas?

Just got my Biometrics notice for 03/02/2012. Should I be alarmed that nearly everyone in CSC got scheduled for the Biometrics appointment roughly a month after they had filed and mine was scheduled roughly a month an a half? Oh well, at least I have an appointment :)

I don't think that's something for us to fret about.

I received my biometrics letter barely two weeks from filing but the scheduled date is so much later than most VJ applicants who have submitted their packet days and weeks after I did. Maybe the calendar of our respective ASCs has something to do with that. innocent.gif
