Well the USC should, but we didn't and my husband didn't get in trouble for it, and they have my correct address etc and so far, no problems!

http://www.uscis.gov...ources/F2en.pdf I think as long as the USCIS get notified by one or other method it is fine, and if you're a permanent resident filing ROC, it probably isn't as serious as AOS filers. My two cents!

The IO at our AOS interview said to not even worry about the change of address until we filed our I-751 (we are a military family and move around a lot - I guess it would be pretty easy to find us anyway because every time we move, our address is updated with at least one government database - DMDC / DoD) but the AR-11 says that aliens must inform USCIS of a change of address within 10 days of moving while sponsors have 30 days to inform USCIS. We didn't want to take any chances so we submitted my AR-11 online and mailed Jim's I-865 when we moved last year.

Liking the progress, we are 40+ strong and we are nearing the end of the month!! Just wanted to say best of luck to the first batch who are going for biometrics next week. I have never had problems with biometrics before but know someone who had to have a second appointment for some reason the fingerprint quality wasnt good. So, to a smooth and uneventful biometrics appointment!!

Just for context, does our stuff just sit in a pile now whilst they carrying with applications in the order they were sent in? i.e. last June, then July, August etc. until January? What happens if someone gets a RFE? Do they go to the back of the month's queue? Therefore, if someone's application was lacking, and they were to get a RFE, would that mean they wouldn't actually know they were getting one until the USCIS picked up the January 2012 cases, a kajillion months from now.

They must give them the once over when they receive them, because they cash the checks and send back applications that are done wrong. I wonder if they look at some, either big ones or ones that look complicated or are arranged badly and go "urgh, this one looks messy, I hope [insert name here] Steve gets this one" and picks up a nicer one for themselves to do. Haha

I always wonder about these things. I'm going to be wondering a lot for the next, well, however long it takes!

Does anyone have a problem checking their status on USCIS website? I went online and tried to register my case, so that I can get updates but it seems like they cant find my case. I put the number the started with EAC named (Application Number) I am just wondering if anyone was has the same issue. I am thinking they haven't updated their website yet.

From what other people said, I know you can't check your status online until you get your biometrics appointment, the reference on that is the one you can check your case status online. And not everyone can get the online thing to work apparently.

Did you try to use your receipt number on the biometrics notice? I don't think going early to your appointment would cause your case to not show up.
