Hi fatima, thanks for the reply.. when I was in the process of my AOS 2 years ago, I was scheduled for my biometrics at the office in Oakland, CA which is 15 minutes away from my location. There wasn't a lot of people and it was so quiet.. I wonder if I'll be going to the same place again..

Hey everyone. I have a quick question. My wife and I moved a few months ago to a new apartment. I changed my address via AR-11. Does my wife (my sponsor) need to do anything?

Yup! The ASC is 5 hours away from us I'll be sure to post about how it goes When I did my biometrics for AOS, it was a little stressful because there was an issue with my middle name - we had written my name on the forms according to Philippine naming convention (middle name changed to father's last name after marriage) and they said they didn't do that in Michigan - at our AOS interview, the IO said the only other thing they could do was just to drop my middle name. Other than that, the actual fingerprinting went great - the lady who took my fingerprints was really nice

Yes. As your sponsor, your wife was required to file an affidavit of support for you on form I-864 or I-864EZ. She therefore needs to file a form I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address with USCIS.

My name remains as it is written in our marriage certificate and that is what I have also in all of my IDs. Hopefully she won't give us a hard time when go there again for our biometrics.

I remember that!!! I wonder if the one who told you that was the same person we talked to... The thing is, our marriage certificate only has my maiden name It probably varies by state??? We got married in Vegas and the marriage certificate just has the groom's name + city and state of residence, the bride's maiden name + city and state of residence, and then the witnesses + signatures and the minister's name + signature. They probably just went by what was in our marriage license - which only asked for my maiden name

I think the name change won't be an issue for ROC because it's your legal name now - if that's what you already have on your green card, they can't do anything about it at the ASC

Did you move before you filed for ROC? If so, like us,you don't have to do anything once you've filed the AR-11. Just make sure you have a copy of the AR-11. Don't make work for yourself if you don't have to.
