I just logged in again in uscis website and it shows they mailed my card today. I wonder why I haven't gotten anything on the mail :/ maybe the approval letter will come with the card ? Who knows! Now I'm getting docs prepared for citizenship

We never got an approval letter just the card.

Disregard the last message, I got home today and received the Congratulations letter. Since they mail the card today, does anyone know how long it will take to receive it?

Tomorrow you will receive the msg "USPS reported pickup the card...." then it will be Tuesday when you see it inside your mailbox. The GC is really green and you will see your pretty pictures both sides of the card

It's about 6 days from the day of approval til the day you hold your GC in your hand

coco2012 I think it depends on where you live, but for a guide, I got the message about card product and card being handed to USPS on Friday. Card arrived Monday morning.

Great thank you!!!! I actually just checked my case today again and it does says " USPS has reported they piked up the card" yay! Anxiously waiting for the new shiny card. I doubt my picture is nice I went on a bad morning. Anyhow I figured 3-5 months later the will take it back so, I gotta look nice for the actual passport an naturalization certificate photos

I called the USCIS and got the tracking number for the card mailed. So I can exactly know what day it is delivered. You can reach out to USCIS customer service and ask for tracking number if you want.

Received new PERMANENT RESIDENCE CARD in the mail yesterday, 10/18/12! Took only 2 days from pick-up to delivery.

Next step: 72 days to go until naturalization process. Looking forward to it.

Congrats to everyone getting their green cards! It's nice to see that VSC is finally picking up.

I've already assembled my Naturalization packet and am counting down the days. Only 31 more before I can send this bad boy off, and get the wife that US Passport! WOO!

I called the USCIS and got the tracking number for the card mailed. So I can exactly know what day it is delivered. You can reach out to USCIS customer service and ask for tracking number if you want.

I am about to call uscis to get my tracking number. What information do I need to give them? Just my case number?

Hello,

I am also a January filer - I was just following the forum without writing until today when I decided to call the USCIS.

I filed on 1/18/12, NOA 1/23/12, Biometrics 2/12/12, Last update on the website on 2/9/12.

Online my case is on initial review - saying that they received my application on 1/23/12 and nothing else.

After seening a lot of approvals in the last few days I decided ta call and find out the status of my application.

The USCIS person initially told me that the only thing he sees in that they received my case on 1/23/12 but after I told him

that this is the thing that I can see online and nothing else he placed me on hold and looked more into that.

He told me after a few seconds that my case shows up as approved but he can't tell me the date or any other details and he will

place a service request to send me the greencard.

I am a little confused and don't know how to react... be happy or worried that it was lost ...

I would appreciate if someone can tell me about any similar experiences.

Hello!

I waked up this morning and i sow they are start the February filter,I was so angry because they are not done with the January filter.I did call costumer service in the morning and i ask whats going on,they said my case was received on Jan.23 and they are working.I ask how long time,he said 30 days because they are working right now on Dec.12 case.What??????????Many January case is done.So i didn't understand what they do.

Hooray! Card received in the mail today! I see it's a new design compared to my last one, President Obama now features in the hologram of Presidents. As always, I find irony in that the only national flag that features on the Green Card is the Union Jack in the corner of the Hawaiian state flag on the hologram!
