Got NO2A last week and I'm trying to hurry the process along. Been checking with NVC on the customer service line to see if they received my K1 visa and was told that it was sent straight to the US Consulate in Bogota and also said I would not get a number from NVC. Did not see this in the VJ Guides so I amd looking for some insight. Can someone help me out here.

you filed 1-129f got noa-2 approval your case is complete, then wait a week and call the nvc for your case number your file was sent to bogota consulate,gather forms for the packet 3 and 4 do your medical,check on the colombia portal for us embassy colombia for instructions.

All approved I-129F go to NVC. No exceptions. NVC assigns case numbers and forwards files to appropriate consulates, embassies.

not exactly, got my NOA 2 about a week ago saying that the case has been forwraded straight to consulate... Now i am in a rush, i wasn't expecting that!

Do a little search on this forum you will find tons of other postings regarding a letter stating it is going "directly" to the consulate, yet all go to NVC first.

Well I hope it all works out. I have already set up my girls appointment and paid the fees online plus assisted with the forms. Interview is the end of January and will know then.

Our couple got the same problem..

Me and my fiance got NOA2 on Dec, 16 2011, and it says it will go straight to the Embassy also...But it's impossible without NVC case-number and NVC checking...So, anyone knows why theese problems came up in theese days and what to expect? We're gonna send copy of NOA2 to the NVC mail, but I guess it won't give anything really, we have to wait and just hope that petition won't be lost or what? Why they fooling us by telling they sent it to the Embassy...???
