Interview day- original documents please help

On the instruction on the Sydney embassy website says,

Please obtain original documents or certified copies from an appropriate authority, for yourself and all unmarried children under 21 years of age who will accompany you to the United States. All documents that relate to your petition are required, even if they were previously submitted to the USCIS (United States Citizenship & Immigration Services) or to this office with your petition.

What does the original documents the embassy refer to? My fiance' has never married so I'm confused of what he should have for that during the interview.
