For #7 on form I-134,

1. what is the annual income should i put on that linr? is it before tax amount? or the total income or the gross adjusted income?

2. for the life insurance line? should i state the the base plan benefit or the life insurance death benefit?

3. for the cash surrender value of? what does this mean? and also is it this money refer to the life insurance?

4. I own real estate valued at: ------- then below it with mortgage or other encumbrance thereon amounting to?? what does this mean? what does this amount consist of? I know that mortgage is something you owe the bank and other asset, but since the house is paid for? so i just need to put the same amount as the real estate valued?

Could you someone please help me with above questions? I don't quite understand what the right value to state. thank you in advance for your help.

You put your total annual income. So if you make 40,000 annual before tax etc you put that.

You don't have to list life insurance you can leave it blank

You don't have to list cash surrender you can leave it blank

You don't have to list real estate you can leave it blank.

If you qualify on income alone or you are using a co-sponsor you do not have to fill in any other lines but the annual income line.

okay thanks, i will be using co-sponsor, so I just wanted to get it clear, so the annual income is before tax and nothing is taking out yet right?

My co-sponsor has life insurance and real estate as well, so im wondering i should put that, but since you said if the annual income is above the poverty line. Then there is no need. Thank you

income is before tax is taking out and like inky said if your income meets the poverty line you don't need to list insurance and real estate.

and also, if i want to include the real estate, what is mortgage and emcumbrance refer to?

it means how much is still owed on the property

you can list the real estate if you like, but it doesn't matter if the co sponsor income is above the poverty line. If the co sponsor income wasn't over the real estate could have been use to make up any short, but an appraisal from a professional appraiser would be required to show the real current value of the property.

and also, if my co-sponsor has the business, so she has the total income of the bussiness? is this the amount I should put on that line, the total income of the business?

hold on... it has to be an individual not a business. if your co sponsor doesn't have a w2 in his/her name it will not be accepted. the person is sponoring not the business.

Clarence954, yeah I understand the person, however, my cosponsor owns the business, and she has all the income tax return with her individual form as well as the business form? that is why i'm not too sure which amount i should state? the total income of the business? or the total income everythign is taking out of the total of the bussines? or gross adjusted income?
