Here's some interesting data from USCIS:

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=2&charttype=1

It hasn't been updated for Dec11 yet, but it shows a few interesting things.

According to this chart CSC recieved 16,281 I-130 Immediate relative petitions in July 2011. 19,924 were received in August.

Over the past 2 years CSC has completed approximately 18,618 I-130 Immediate relative petitions per month. The chart does show a trend that the number of completions goes down during December and January, but picks up again in February and March. But, the disturbing part is when you compare the number of completions between Sep-Nov 2010 and Sep-Nov 2011.

September 2010 - 18,400

October 2010 - 27,915

November 2010 - 19,092

September 2011 - 14,245 (4155 fewer)

October 2011 - 12,025 (15,890 fewer)

November 2011 - 10,194 (8898 fewer)

Paisaman's statistics are still the most telling of what dates CSC is currently processing, because he can show changes on a week to week basis. I provided these numbers in a hope to show overall trends.

At the rate of 250 per day, it will take until end of May to complete the 23000+ July petitions in Initial Review :D

So let's hope they process a whole lot more than 1250 this week!

I believe if we also looked at Decemeber and January numbers, there are a bunch that have been approved there. If we look at the total of those numbers we will see a higher rate at which they are approving so it shouldn't be too disheartening. Lets just hope that they get back to processing the backlog before processing the recent submissions.

At this rate, my September petition won't see the light of day until probably september.

Paisa;

Pretty please can you do your statistics magic with August?

thanks!

Oh trust me.. August is my focus since thats where my application is, but so far in there first 5000 apps of August there were 5 approvals.

Nice that there are a couple but not statistically significant to run the whole month yet.

Paisaman's statistics are still the most telling of what dates CSC is currently processing, because he can show changes on a week to week basis. I provided these numbers in a hope to show overall trends.

All,

Don't freak out about the "unprocessed" apps. The telling item is what days they are working on. Out of the 24k remaining apps its possible 15-18k may not see the light of day. The most important thing is to see what days they are *focusing* on. Right now its July 11-13th. As that moves forward you can expect happy happy joy joy.

But still ... these numbers are depressing. And after many weeks they have just moved forward a few days. All of this doesn't give much hope that it will be done soon. Sure July filers can get excited but those of us further down are waiting in agony.

I have a feeling that this week CSC is definitely processing more apps than last week. I see some late July filers getting approved. My NOA1 date is Aug 4th. At this pace, hopefully I will get approved at least by the end of next month

I know exactly what you mean, when I spoke to the officer 3 days ago and he said no later than first week of Febuary I tried not to get excited. The next morning first thing I did was open my agenda to count how far away the 1st week of July was and realized thats next week! Ahhhh I screamed of joy and called hubby and he screamed as much as me!
