Hello to everyone! I figured I would post a brief introduction.

I met my husband in an online roleplaying game back in 2008. He's an Aussie, I'm a Yank. We're both total geeks and so it seems we were meant for each other. We were married in January on a beach on the Gold Coast. Due to work and family issues, we've hemmed and hawed over where we wanted to settle, but we have finally decided to live here in the States. I sweated bullets trying to get the application together correctly, and I finally sent the thing out last week, hurray! Now to hunker down and wait, and hope it goes smoothly. He's very laid back about the whole thing, saying "People file these things every day, if they need you to send something else, they'll tell you. No worries." I, however, am the anxious type. I hope 'no worries' will someday become my philosophy, too.

Many thanks to everyone who works on this site and shares on the forums. I have learned so much here. I can't imagine how lost I'd have been if I had simply read the instructions that came with the forms.

After spending 2.5 years in Australia (1.5+ on the Gold Coast!) my wife and I wish we had the option to live back in Australia :D Enjoy the US- hopefully you can find somewhere warm!

Are you currently in the US? Is he currently on a tourist visa? I'm about to start the whole process for my wife after I find a job here in the US.

I'm with your husband- no worries!

Vilya? LoTRO?

We do play LotRO but not on Vilya--I just have a fondness for the Ring of Air :)

Thanks everyone for the kind welcomes. I have dropped by the Aussie chat thread, great idea.

I hope everyone celebrating holidays has a safe and happy season.
