It's about d@mn time! They should make this a Fed law where all the states are required to drug test. I bet that right there would help thin out the herd.

YOu are dreaming, some states tried to limit the "sugary drinks" from being eligible for food-stamp purchase.... the dept. of Agr. said -Nope you can't do that.. it would "stigmatize" people.

Your suggestions while all good will not address the problem

It is a fact that illegals and immigrants streaming in to the country under the newer immigration laws since 1965 (not to mention illegals) are attracting less educated more "needy" people who are takers but

-the vast majority of people accustomed to living off the labor of others are not illegal.

-There is a huge apparatus of Government both Fereal and local who make a nice living off of administering these programs while taking their huge "cut."

At best minimal cuts can be made but who has the stomach for even limiting this snow balling movement.

The food stamp program alone has ballooned to something like $77 BILLION with no end in sight.

Yet not one person has starved to death in this country since the Donner party got stranded in the Sierra mountains in the 1800's

Great Ideas. Especially 2 and 3. Number 1 is redundant as regards illegal immigration but should be done to prevent drug smuggling, etc.

You realize that NEITHER party will nominate you for President and that is why none of the candidates propose this. Right?

Create the 2nd Class Citizen visa for illegals at a cost of $500 per. They don't have to live in fear, but they continue to get under paid and over worked and abused. Win/Win. They cannot vote or get government assistance. They can get identification and drivers licenses and social security cards / passports but they all contain the 2nd Class Citizen (2CC) visa stamp.

The problem is that the American People as a whole lack the will to change things because it hasn't yet got bad enough for them to do anything.

If the American People just started voting all incumbents out of office until we got the changes we want things would turn around rather quickly.

If the American People had the political will power to remind the politicians they work for US and only US, not companies or other countries, then we could change things.

Sadly I fear things will be far beyond fixable before that happens...

You could be right about the will of the people. They like the lettuce which they think is cheap and they lie getting their roof replaced for 30% less while the contrzctor gets it done for 60% less and pockets the difference. The illegals are exploited for both's benefit.

Republicans want the availability of cheap labor and a means to avoid labor laws, Dems are hoping for someday getting their votes. Sooner is better than later.

Better yet why don't you cut to the chase and just bomb something important in this country. I mean your talking about giving people who willingly broke the laws of this country by coming into this country illegally a giant reward and your kissing ####### at the same time to the businesses who fck the laws of this country while making a bigger profit not to mention screwing legal citizens of this country in the process. If anyone here hates this country I have to say it's you by some of the post you make on here.

I'm not sure if you have noticed lately, but his country is in a world of hurt, and if we did what you suggested then we would be that much more closer to being on par with Mexico's standard of living. I don't know if you have ever been to Mexico, but not a country that I would like to live in, nor would I want to see this country have Mexico's standard of living.
