Hi Everyone, I am looking for some help with understanding the process as a whole for the IR1/CR1. The initial paperwork has been sent in, but my confusion lies with what happens if things are approved through USCIS. Basically, I need a breakdown, if anyone has it of what the next steps are, what documents need to be sumbitted etc. I have read through the USCIS website, however, i think many of us here know that it can get a bit confusing at times. Anyone who has been through the process that would not mind shedding some light for me, it would be greatly appreciated! is there a package 2, 3 etc similar to that with the K-1 visa? That is basicallly what I am trying to figure out is what will be requested of us if the file is approved with USCIS. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to provide answers and help clarify the process!

I found much guidance over at

Loto's Wiki Pages - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse

Perhaps you can read those, from a pc sometime, gain some understanding?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Tuana,

I found the guide called Ling Che's NVC shortcuts very helpful.

It helped me be prepared for the next step at NVC.

I studied it for a couple weeks and got all the needed documents ready. I made my husband get his stuff early in case they approved us early. And they did. So I only spent 13 days at NVC. It was easy.

The waiting for the nvc case number took forever! lol

Hi, thanks so much! Yes, I filed the I-130, however prior to our marriage, we had initiatlly petitioned for him to come as my fiance. However, we withdrew that application as we got married and are now proceeding with the I-130. I was asking if there are packages that will be submitted after approval by uSCIS for the I-130 similar to the process when going through the K-1. Thanks so much
