Cause for concern?

I sent my K1 packet last week. It arrived at Saturday in Dallas, and the delivery confirmation says it was actually received Sunday night (which I thought was strange). I haven't received anything from them about receiving it, no email, no text, check hasn't been cashed..nothing. I know it's just a few days before Christmas and all, but they're still working right? When should I be concerned about this?

It will take a few days, perhaps a month to hear anything from them after you submit your petition. Certainly no text or e-mail - they receive hundreds or thousands of petitions a day, they cannot e-mail or text saying they received every one. Once you get your NOA you can sign up on the USCIS website for updates, but nothing until you get that NOA.

If you call the USCIS hotline, they will tell you it can take up to 60 days - and I've seen that happen.

it could take a week to get NOA1 or it could take longer. get used to waiting around lol

Don't stress it took us about a week to hear about our I 129F noa 1 and exactly a week to hear about our AOS noa 1. Some people have waited much longer and it's been fine. Sometimes they forget to text or email and you'll have to wait for it to come in the mail which will take a couple of weeks.

They do not work on Christmas they observe holidays like the rest Friday and Monday off. Be prepared for delays.
