This is turning into a real circus at this point. It has now been three weeks and still nothing at the NVC. What is the f'ing problem?!?!

Have you called them? I tended to call them 1 or 2 times a week for status, they are easy to reach on the phone and the hold time is short. (603 334-0700) took 3 weeks from NOA2 to being sent on to Consulate for us but this can vary.

If you look at the VJ flow cart page it is indicated wait time for NOA2 to NVC is 2 weeks and NVC time can be 1 to 4 weeks so total time can be as long as 6 weeks for those 2 steps (5,6). Has a lot to do with timing at service center they don't just send packages every day from center to center, they tend to send as a bulk shipment 1 or 2 times a week. I noticed this when looking at the shipments from NVC to the consulates, they tended to bulk ship every thing on Monday and nothing for the days after that. If you factor the 2 weeks from service Center to NVC then NVC has had your case for 1-2 weeks.

Sure, but the annoying part is that they bulk ship files that were approved weeks after other ones, and leave the older ones behind! There is nothing we can do about it, but you have to admit it is annoying.

You know I have been feeling the same way after a few phone call to the NVC and nothing.So I decided to email them at

NVCInquiry@state.gov

To my surprise just 2 days later they responded with some good news that my case has been not only recieved by them but also forwarded to the U.S. Embassy.Just give them your original reciept # and your name and fiances name and country.I am sure they will response for you.

I did that also just before calling them about the case and finding out it was sent on to the consulate. The email response arrived a few days later and even had the Consulate Case Number in the email. Now for the long part, The consulate that we are dealing with tends to take 4-5 months to processes the case.

After two "no we don't have it" emails, I finally got one that said it has been received and I should notify them of changes of address that may affect my entitlement to a visa!
