Well its been 5 months and a week and I am still waiting on a NOIR (notice of intent to revoke) letter and i still have not received it yet. Our petition was sent back for review for possible revocation and I inquired about it on Nov. 1st and I got an email saying that i would receive a NOA in 30 days and i still haven't received anything yet. I thought that if they answer my inquiry then they would surely send it but they didn't . Is there anything else I can do? Does anybody know what to do?

when its an NOIR, I dont think refiling is an option until the case is concluded cos you will still meet whatever is the reason for the NOIR again for the new case. A friend is also waiting for same NOIR since august. It appears the only recourse is to wait until they are done. meanwhile why not pray while waiting...I still believe in miracles

its weird.. but curious, why don't you email embassy in Lagos again, and ask them if there's any chance you can have another appointment before it's sent back. This might be silly, but they might actually tell you when and if it's gone back to USCIS for revocation or when. Was the reason for revocation something you can supply and provide to them rather? You don't have to share if you don't want to. gdluck

Hi, my husband had his interview May 13th 2011. We are waiting for NOIR letter I beleive. USCIS received our paperwork back from the NVC on June 29th, 2011. I called USCIS on the 150th from June 29th and was told that they would request an update on our case due to 150 days passing. I received an email from USCIS 5 days later stating the process time for this is 180 days and that I would be contacted by December 29th with updated information. As of today I still haven't heard anything from them.

Hi Olami,

Sorry to hear all these, actually i was in the same boat but now i have sailed through and landed.

I had the same case with you. I had my interview last year 29th of june 2010 and my petition was sent back to the USCIS, i waited and waited but my husband was always getting in touch with the USCIS not the U S consulate, because the U S consulate will tell you, the petition is no longer with them. So after some months i received a letter from the USCIS telling us they have received our petition back from the U S consulate and that they received back our petition on the 17th of september 2010 and they will review it and get back to us, they got back to us in april 2011 with the NOIR and they gave us one month to send to them the evidence being requested. So it took 7 months before we got an NOIR so if i may check yours if yours was sent back in July 2011 then you may expect to hear from them in february of 2012. So what you need to do now is to gather every possible evidence you may have and get ready for defense. Just be a little bit patience you will receive it soon, february is just by the corner.

I wish you God's divine favour.

The last email they sent me said the same thing, so I guess we have to be patient and wait to see if we get something by The Dec. 29th. Keep in touch with me and I will stay in touch with you and God be with us.

Will they ask for another physical and another police report? It has been over a year in January.

You are right, we do have to be patient. I will keep you updated as to what I hear from USCIS when they do decide to do something. Just keep praying...

Yes they will ask for another physical and police report, police report expires within 3months and medical expires within 1 year. Make sure you get another one available, also make sure you get another affidavit of support it expires too, within 7 months. I wish you God's blessing.
