My fiancee sent me colored photo copies of her passport and translated birth certificate. On this VJ site I don't see these listed in the K1 package checklist, nor is it on the USCIS website. However on another site I believe it was listed. I have them, should I sent them in my original packet or should she wait until the interview?

For the I-129F send copies to USCIS. For the interview at the consulate bring originals.

Birth Certificate -

I-129F the petitioner needs to send their info; copy of their birth certificate (no need for translation as it should be in English already). The Beneficiaries birth certificate is included in Packet 3 and if not in English will have to translated by a company certified to do this. I just sent my Packet 3 in yesterday for my fiance. In it was a copy of her original birth certificate (Thai) and a copy of her birth certificate translated.

Photos of both of you together are included in the I-129F and brought to the interview. None are to be included in Packet 3.

This was probably wrong, but where possible in my I-129F package I had (2) sets of originals, one I kept and one I mailed. These were mainly the signed forms. For Packet 3 I sent only copies.

If your fiancee traveled to see you and had her passport stamped or you met in a 3rd country/traveled together then yes, submit the copies of her passport as evidence of having met. Otherwise as mentioned, it's not needed.

Her birth cert. and a translation isn't needed until embassy stage at the interview. Then they'll need a copy of it, and for her to bring the original - she gets to keep the original unless they specifically ask for the original.
