My wife is a Canadian citizen and we're in the process off filling out all the required forms for the AOS application. We will be sending I-130 and I-485 together. We're a little unsure how to answer the section labeled "Current USCIS Status" As a Canadian visitor she came here without any kind of visa, didn't even get a stamp in her passport at the POE. What should we put as an answer? And what to do about the "Expires on" part? She still has a few months before her 6 months are up.

Thank you all for your help.

If you put something to the effect of "Canadian Visitor - no I-94", they should know what you're talking about - they understand that Canadian tourists are on a different program than most countries.

For the expiry date put the 6 months (or is it 180 days? I'm not sure, better check that) date.

If your address doesn't include "C/O" leave it blank. It's like the "Line 2" field you often see for addresses. You only use it if you need to.

I understand not leaving important informational fields blank, but C/O is just an optional sub-field of the address, which you are providing.

Don't worry about it. :)

Thank you so much spartacus209 and HeatDeath for your answers. They're very helpful and make me feel more confident about the answers me and my wife put on the form. I'm guessing 'a' is the answer for Part 2 "An immigration petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved." Quite confusing but upon research, this seems to be the correct choice.

Another question:

For questions "Nonimmigrant Visa Number" and "Consulate Where Visa Was Issued" and "Date Visa Issued" do we just put N/A on all three lines?

Since she was never issued a visa, yes, you put N/A for those.
