Thanks everyone for your congrats!

To update... Fresy's petition arrived at San Jose Embassy today at 1:55PM (tracked it all the way from NVC to San Jose on the DHL site).

She's had her lab work and x-rays, she goes for her medical on Jan 4th.

All her packet 3 documents are done and orginized, we're just waiting for the interview to come.

If all goes well, she'll be here Jan 20 and I'll be very happy the night of the 20th!!!

Her POE is Saturday 1/21 in Ft. Lauderdale.

I figured I'd give her a warm POE then the reality of Ohio a little later that day!

I guess you are going to introduce Fresy to snow right away. It's a snow storm here in the windy city so you should be getting it next. Not unless you stay a few days in Florida.

Update on our journey...

Fresy arrived in Ft. Lauderdale POE Saturday, January 21! No problems at all at our POE - the CBP was really friendly and polite to Fresy as they processed her documents in secondary.

Matter of fact, as Fresy approached the CBP officer's counter, the officer saw her envelope and shouted "Woo - Hoo... K-1 Visa (in a really friendly and funny way! The officers were happy for Fresy!

Her flight landed at 5:50am and she was out of CBP with me by 7:15am.

We spent the day with my parents in Boca Raton, did a little shopping and departed from Ft. Lauderdale at 8:30pm that night. We FINALLY put our heads down on our pillows at 3:15am - What a LONG day - but SO worth it.

Monday we went to SSA office, got Fresy's paperwork done for her SSA card and I added her cell phone to my service. Also set up an international calling plan for Fresy to call home so she can stay in touch.

Everything has been great so far. I know there will be ups and downs as we adjust to our life together, but the whole experience has been a journey!!!
