Wow. how I wish I would have known about the airline tickets you guys purchased. We spent 1600.00 for my hubby's. His visa is said to be ready tomorrow and because it is holiday time didn't want to take the chance of not finding a ticket we could afford so walked on faith that it will be ready when they said. But darn, had we waited perhaps we would have found a cheaper ticket according to you all....

This ticket thing has become a HUGE headache! I did try Delta but they are on the high side right now. Qatar had one for 1100, BUT he has to present the CC @ check in. I THINK we finally found one with Emirates for $1300. If they say the visa is ready tomorrow we will go ahead and book.

I think you may have actually gotten a good deal. My search has been crazy. I even tried to get a POA to add him to my CC so we could book online.I finally just called an agent in Houston & his prices were ok. But we are waiting for late this month. I so wish he could be here for Christmas, but I am also glad he will have the extra time with his family there.

Don't worry, you will get the visa in one week after the approval date.Me and my wife got a ticket for SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS EACH,one way and we pay in our bedroom in Nigeria Through WIRE TRANSFER!!!

Who did you use for it?

I did it myself.I used my domiciliary Account [DOLLAR ACCOUNT] in Nigerian to wire the money to United States because I have heard that Credit Card payment is always an issue in Lagos Airport. My brother in-law based in Nigeria has help a lot of people wire their money too.The choice is yours.

We had no trouble with me getting the ticket with a credit card. I work right next to LAX so I just went into their office and showed my card, my ID and they noted the ticket as credit card verified. I used Emeriates but all the airlines are the pretty much the same about the verification of the credit card.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
