I'm writing this to ask, yeah again sorry, for your guys help. with all the meds im on my brain cant isnt working all that great but it kinda needs to. i havnt been able to do ne paperwork, i got my social security number but i still need to file the AOS. can you guys help me? just make sure im doing things right. the paperwork and forms we need to fill out for the aos is: G-325a, I-864, I-485, I-765, I-131 ,G-1145. this is correct? is this all of the forms? it is my understanding that we also need a cover letter explaining our case. we also passport style photos for the g325, copy's of both our birth certificates and copy's of our passports, copy of the I-94, copy of the marriage certificate, and if im not mistaken we do NOT need to fill out the medical I-693 form. is this all correct? and is this all we need to do? and where do we have to send all this too? sorry for all the questions. im just in such a fog i cant think all this through and i really dont wanna mess this up

You need to send an original stamped/embossed marriage certificate, not a copy of one.

Follow the instructions for where to send the applications.

If you have a DS-3025, which you would have obtained from the facility where you had your medical, if you requested one, then you send a copy of that, if not, then the 693 from a CS is required.

Follow the Guides.

No you don't, you only send a copy. Says it in the instructions.

There's an AOS thread in my signature that has the document requirements. Hope you feel better soon!

ok i have yet another question about this AOS stuff. the piece of paper they stapled into my passport and stamped with the 90 day expiration date, which is january 26th, does this mean we have to at least have all the forms in the mail by the 26th, or does this mean we have to have everything in the mail and approved (or however this works) before the 26th. cuz its looking like that wont happen. i thought we had to at least be married before the 90 days not be married and finish the AOS stuff by the 90 days. We'r freaking out a bit because we cant find his 2010 tax return. is it possible they took it at the interview? i know they took a bunch of stuff, and im pretty sure they said theyd mail it to us but we never got anything in the mail. also at the border they took a package from us as well and again im pretty sure they said they mail it to us, ( or was it that they said theyd mail it to the office and wed have to pick it up?) with all this added stress of getting sick christmas, trying to get on the insurance, getting married, ect, both our brains have been fried to a crisp. Also it might just be me but it feels as tho we could find a lot more info on how to do stuff to get the visa then we can to find stuff out about how or what to do for the AOS. how does this all work exactly? whats this about going to yet another stressful interview for biometrics for the AOS? my nerves cant take much more of this!! can someone help make this all a lil clearer?

You need to be married by that date. It's ideal to have your paperwork mailed by then because any time between when your I-94 expires and when your paperwork is received is time out of status. But if you're a little late you're very unlikely to have problems unless you do something illegal.

If you can't find the 2010 tax return request a new tax transcript from IRS. They can fax this to you relatively quickly. You do need it to file.

You can follow the "guides" like at the top of VJ for complete info on filing AOS.

You will definitely get a biometrics notice to get fingerprints taken within a month or two of filing. You may or may not have another interview. Some do and some do not. That would be several months down the line.
