Security Clearance-AOS Interview

I did my AOS interview on Aug 24,2011 and the IO handed me a letter stating I will receive a decission in mail.

After a week I got my I-130 approval, but my I-485 is still pending. On Nov 10,2011 I went to the local USCIS (Federal Plaza in NY) by info pass.

The immigration Officer, hold me and went to different branch to check my file, he came back I told me my file is in Security check. He said he don't have any exact time frame how long it gonna take. He gave me a letter stating my file is in security review.

I called the FBI and they check my A number and said my background check/FBI check cleared and it has been completed on same day when USCIS requested.

Did any body have any idea, how long it going to take. When I called USCIS customer service on December 2011 the supervisor told that my case is still under the time frame.

If my case is not compleated in 9 months then I can open a service request.

If any person knows about this situation, how to deal/resolve please let me know. I am in too much stress. I need an urgent help.

There are several databases your name must clear. The FBI is one ( domestic ) but you are going to have to wait on the others.

Thanks, reallly it's pain to wait so long. Did any body have idea how long it will take.
