Situation: I have currently submitted the I-130 to the USCIS field office in Guangzhou and am preparing the next set of documents listed in the requirements.

(3- The foreign spouse will be required to submit a DS-230 Part 1 (visa application) as well as several required items on a checklist that the consulate will provide. The checklist will include items such as a Police Certificate, Birth Certificate, Previous Divorce Records, an Affidavit of Support (Form I-864), and others.)

I have a question about the Form I-864. (I am the petitioner and american citizen husband btw)

I plan to have a family member who has enough income to meet the income requirements sponsor my wife. I need to know what form this family member should fill out and what evidence to support it.

Do I also need to fill out the I-864 or can just my family member fill it out? (I don't have an income)

Also I have heard of a I-864a, does this apply for just non-DCF filings or does my family member need to fill out a I864a and not a I864.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You both need to fill in a I-864 and submit supporting docs (tax filings for 3 years or letter explaining why you didn't file, paystubs for your co-sponsor etc). The I-864a is for household members, such as if your co-sponsor is married, his wife would fill it out.

Will the alien spouses income continue from the same source when they immigrate to the USA? Only then can they include it, ie if they are getting an intra-company transfer. Assets might be included, but not all embassies will accept assets in a foreign country (for example the US embassy in Ireland didn't), so the beneficiary may need to move the assets to the US before the interview.

Definitely not another I-864. I think they could combine with yours on the same I-864 that you fill out, but they may need a I-864A as household member; hopefully someone else will come along and confirm.
